Lane Finder is a free, public bowling center finder operated by BowlersMart. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit https://lanefinder.bowlersmart.com/ (the "Site"). We built Lane Finder to be simple and privacy-respecting: it has no user accounts, sets no tracking cookies, and runs no advertising trackers.
1. Information We Collect
Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly all websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request information when your browser loads a page, in order to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. This can include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device type
- Referring URL
- Pages requested and the date and time of the request
We do not set tracking cookies, we do not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors or track you across other sites.
Information You Provide
The only place Lane Finder asks for information is the Submit a Center form, and using it is entirely optional. If you submit a center, you may provide:
- Details about the bowling center (name, address, city, state, ZIP, phone, website, and any notes)
- Your email address, if you choose to share it, so we can follow up about your submission
Business details you submit about a center may be verified and published in the public directory. Your email address is used only to contact you about your submission; it is not published and is not added to any marketing list.
Map, Location, and Search
- "Use my location": if you choose this option, your device's location is used only inside your browser to sort nearby centers by distance. Your precise location is not sent to or stored by us.
- Search by ZIP: when you search by ZIP code, that ZIP is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to look up its location so we can center the map.
- Map tiles: the interactive map loads background tiles from CARTO (built on OpenStreetMap data). Your browser requests those tiles directly, so the tile provider receives your IP address and the map area you are viewing.
- Directions links: "Directions" opens Google Maps in a new tab only when you click it, using the center's address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Deliver, maintain, and improve the Site
- Respond to center submissions and inquiries
- Verify and maintain the accuracy of the center directory
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, spam, or abuse
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Lane Finder does not use tracking or advertising cookies and does not require a cookie consent banner. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent first.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the Site. Each has its own privacy policy:

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers: the trusted providers listed above who help us operate the Site.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protection of rights: to protect the rights, property, or safety of BowlersMart, our users, or the public.
6. Data Retention
Center submissions are retained for as long as needed to verify and maintain the directory. Server logs held by our hosting provider are retained according to Cloudflare's data retention policies. We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
European Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (delivering and securing the Site, and maintaining the directory) and consent (for example, when you choose to submit a center or share your location).
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption and security headers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at vipsupport@bowlersmart.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
